We're testing a new feature here at the Baby Boomer Generation called "Related Posts From Waypath ". Essentially, whenever we post a new article, Waypath searches other sites (8 million of them) and returns a relevant result in an article sidebar.

It's not perfect and you may often find that the related link isn't relative at all, but for the most part it works. We can't filter opinions (nor would we want to) so some of the related articles will be diametrically opposed to our own opinion.

We'll be monitoring the results and make a decision next month whether or not to continue the test.

We're baaaaak. After a 10 day absence, we're back Boomer Blogging.

Three things happened:
1. My ISP decided to move all their sites to a new server.
2. They didn't tell anyone.
3. Thinking the entire site was somehow broken, I went through a checklist of things that might be wrong. Nothing worked. As fate would have it, I decided to start a manual rebuild just about the time the ISP decided to call and tell me to leave everything alone.

Sooo, stupidity abounds here in Boomer Tech World, but alas, between the CGI gurus at the ISP and my own (unending) manual rebuild, we're back.

While we were at it, we added a new feature called "AIM this story." If you have AIM installed on your computer, clicking the link will start AIM and create a new IM window with the URL of the story you are reading. Give it a try!

We don't often make commercial endorsements here, partly because Boomers in general are bombarded with unsolicited commercial messages. But in this case, we wanted to share a great experience in web design and development .

As long-time readers may have noticed, in January we re-tooled the site to include comments, archives and several new categories.

This re-build enabled us to easily write, edit and store our content in an organized and effecient way.

Additionally, we can now allow guest authors into selected areas and hold stories for later approval and publication.

The whole process has made this a much more up-to-date site and we recommend the folks at PERFECTi-site for their technical ability and creative approach.

We've added two new categories of interest to our Boomer readers: Politics and a Boomer Library.

Boomer Politics because all of a sudden we found ourselves interested in it again.

Boomer Library because we frequently comment on books and literature of interest to the generation.
