Yet Another Phoenix Rising
As the writer points out, in this interview with Don Brewster of Grand Funk Railroad, oldies aren't old anymore---now they're 'classic rock.' Like our generation--we're not old, we're classic. So GFR is back on the concert trail. Catch them at a venue near you.

I really enjoy your site, and that's with lots more to look at. One note: The drummer for Grand Funk Railroad is Don Brewer, not Brewster. Many hours of my youth were spent trying to emulate his drumming. It took weeks to learn the opening to "We're An American Band". Keep up the good work!

Grand Funk Railroad, wow! "Mean Mistreater" LIVE was sooo coool... IF my Boomer-brain remembers correctly, GFR opened for Led Zeppelin at a coliseum somewhere in eastern Tennessee... can't remember the year (big surprise), due in part to tooooo many loud (but great!) concerts during those years... It all kinda runs together in my memory now, but that's OK, too. I now have young nieces & nephews who love the same music & help keep it alive. LONG LIVE ROCK & ROLL!! ~~ Lana-B
