Early To Bed, Early To Rise Boomers
 |
Looks kinda like me at 4AM Saturday.
|
OK - I admit I'm one of those over 50-somethings that hits the bed at 9pm (or sooner) and a built-in clock that says "hey - you had 8 hours of sleep, get the heck up." So there I was at 4 AM Saturday looking for something to do. As usual, I came here looking for yet another doo-dad (see the "print" icon under the articles) to make this place just that much better. By 8am I started uploading files and rebuilding content - but for some reason the site was as slow as molassas in um, February.
Then I spotted it - a comment that said "I just saw this on TV..."
I felt a little like Navin Johnson when the new phone books came out - we're somebody.
Welcome fellow early-risers.
Here's a backlink to CBS.

See, going to bed early DOES pay off for baby boomers. I find that as I get older, I go to sleep earlier and earlier and earlier and earlier...

I'm 61, never felt better in my life, but feel the hot breath of death pressing down on me from the sky. I go to bed LATE because there's so much to do in life. I want to read every book, watch every movie, listen to every song, look out every window, and watch the falling snow nestle in the branches of the backyard maple. And then I want to write about it all. Life is meaningless if I can't write about it.

Today is the 27th, must have got up V late ( 10 days? )
Sorry, have just found site before going to bed, its just after 10 pm, which is early for me but I will bet I will not get up before 8.00am, later if its raining. Having reached the age of 65 and fortunately retired to live by the sea and having sufficient funds to survive I feel very lucky.
