Too funny. And too right on. I passed this to everyone over 45 in my office -- some of them got it, some of them just stared at me like I'd grown another head. Made me wonder what they were doing in '72.
Thanks to William Thomas for saying the things I've been thinking for years!

Never seen a Brinks truck following a hurst. No need to worry we will take just as good of care of you baby boomers as you did us! Yes baby boomers left thier mark..Enron, Tyco, Worldcom and more corporate greed than could ever be counted. I've watched baby boomers lay waste to morals and values while filling thier pockets. Now what did Jesus say about the rich man?

I think it was Disco.
During the Late-60's/Early-70's the key word to fashion was down-dressing. At least it was in my part of the world. Tie-dye those tshirts, fringe those jeans, make your own jewelry and other accessories, and at least try to eat natural foods. Then came "Saturday Night Fever" and the Bee Gees, suddenly it was all about white suits, gold chains, and spiked high heels. Careers started taking hold, the money started coming in, and all that anti-materialism went right out the cosmic windows as rampid use of cocaine started blowing in. If I recall, it was after the time when cocaine was a side dish at every upscale gathering people began to feel the need to have phones in their cars, and from there, well...we all just got busy, that's all.
I personally think maybe we got off to such a tremendous start - let's NEVER forget the changes OUR generation DID accomplish regarding individual rights, seeing to conclusion the longest war in US history, and affiriming our place as the Fourth Estate - then Life started happening, and a lot of things were left taken for granted.
The problem with our generation NOW, or is my opinion, we do a lot of complaining, but with very little action to try and make things right again.
Great article link! I too have sent it amongst a few of my friends. Definitely a must-read.

Wow. This site is freaking hillarious. I mean most of this is so argavatingly self important and on crack.
Thank-you for making this site. It temporarily cured my depression. This is as good as http://www.somethingawful.com before it got really old. I didnt intend this as a flame, but as a compliment. I laughed at most of this. Even though it's annoying. I know this guy and he's always bitching about baby boomers, I didnt even know what boomer was before I talked to that guy and honestly I dont really know. But he described them as the sort of thing that I saw happening here and it's just eery O_O
I hope you guys dont ban my IP because this site was a hillarious eye opener. Yes I am weird.
