That is a "wonderful wonder" about our second chance to "save the world". Nice thing ...we all have a shot to make a difference as we go into the "Boomer Sunset"

Of course we will help save the world now that we're wiser. Consciousness-raising always gains power. You may say I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one.
I always admired public protests but felt they fell short somehow. Though the solidarity created vibes that worked positively, the straining quality of the pep-rally slogans left me feeling we failed in a significant way.
The new-rising quantum correction to our worldview ("The observer changes the stuff that's observed.") has rocking new stories to tell: like the one about the drop in the D.C. rate of murder predicted by 500 meditating Boomers. Because they had done this fifteen times before, they predicted that the rate would fall 25% -- which is exactly what it did after their unified effort!
The vibes we send out create real time reflections. Within you, without you. What's there in the real world which wasn't first just an impulse or thought or urge to create? Now quantum physics tells us we're all tied in a unified field, we all interpret from One Energy. Not so hard to see that what we see is really what our mind is shaping from the energy "out there." We all know that the starlight isn't the light that's shining there now, but the seeing of that light IS happening now. Similarly, all that we sense from the world is after-fact divining in our mental holographic projector! Not that there isn't something out there, but without our seeing, it would be completely different than what we see.
Since the observer changes the observed, our most amazing power is Attention! Attention or observance, they say in quantum physics, "collapses the wave into locality." Easy then to see that we are each a wave upon the endless ocean of Understanding. What we know is a small wave in a sea of what we don't know. How could we understand unless this ocean was all understanding? All waves are connected and composed completely of this life-giving water. The Uni-verse is Energy dancing -- wasn't this the nondestructive message from some drug trips that we vowed we would remember for all time because "IT'S INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT!"
As good old Ginsberg's master Blake reported for the good of our now-sober selves: "Energy is the only life, and comes from the body."
So let's propose a simple task to start. (Before you walk on water, they say, practice first in the bathtub.) From now until the primaries, each day at one point focus your attention on the thought of Democrats winning large in the key upcoming Primaries. "One thought fills immensity," our old friend Blake continues. Even if it's just to stop one moment to get grounded and then mantra to yourself: "We'll sweep the primaries!"
And if you can use that undererstimated gift of your imagination, imagine it's already happened as we so desired, and imagine some after-effect that comes as if it did. The strength of your visionary confidence matters hugely. The ripple effect of your positive vibes ("vibrations" now being the pet name of quantum physicists for All there is!) spreads from your place in the vibrating unified ocean field to the whole world. "And people shall be sailors then, until the sea shall free them ... he sank beneath your wisdom like a stone."
This is active solidarity without jail or placards, yet has much more potential. "Whatsoever you pray for, when you pray, have faith that you will have it and you will." "When two or more are gathered, the good will of the whole world is there too." "Imagine all the people living life as one."
We will sweep the primaries!

hi, I am a new reader and found your site by searching for a quote from my dead hero, Hunter S. Thompson about being a "road man for the lords of karma"...i am on the tail end of the boomer generation (b. 1955)
nice comment above about the implications of quantum physics to our perception of the world and how to change it...i would only add that the theories of carl jung regarding the collective unconscious may also be significant...
to quote from my dead hero's letters dated 11/22/1963...a day that should live in more infamy than 12/7/1942...
"I mean to come down from the hills and enter the fray"
while the screen name may be alarming, it just means that I live in Maine...

I loved this article I'm so glad I found this site by accident. My husband and I were computer professionals for year etc etc then one day he had a stroke and I ended up in a wheel chair. We tried Sun City, Ca. boy was that a mistake I was way to young We are not ready to join the "assisted living of the dead".
Your article was so important to me as now I know I'm not crazy or at least I have a lot of company.
We want to create a village of 55+ its a huge project and we have nothing but determination. The village would have its own enterprises. such as eco. atmosphere called premaculture but not a commune. The villagers would have nice homes and great working conditions even for the more physically challenged. I know this will work and will let you know about our progress in Oregon or Washington. If anyone is interested please feel free to email.
Thank you for incouraging me.
