I will never...never...be old enough to be a grandmother. But if I were, would I want to be known as Granny? I think not. In this article from PhillyBurbs.com, Boomers, who've tried to change so many other things, set out to change what their grandchildren will call them. OK--assuming any of us will in fact be/are grandparents, what do you want the little ones to call you? I already have dibs on 'Queen Mum.'

A bit conventional, I admit, but I love being called Nana by those little ones! When my son and his wife first told me they were pregnant, I, too, squealed "I AM TOO YOUNG TO BE A GRANDMOTHER!," but wowie, zowie I sure to love it!

I am "GRAMMY" to 4 children, ages 1-13. I am Grammy, like the award. They have been awarded a Grammy that knows about life, drugs, homework, cooking and loving them. I went back to college at age 50, I am studying to be a transcriptionist, I am retiring from my job of 20 years, I will be starting a new job. My husband passed away from Agent Orange lung cancer, now I live with my boyfriend. We are happy and I get down on the floor to play cars with them. I remember I called my Grandmother by her last name, that was very distant. My grandchildren spend the night, we have a boys room and a girls room, we camp out in the livingroom. We are happy, we love.
