It was really interesting being here...
I need information about Baby boomers for my presentation, If you know anything about this generation, could you send a email?
I really wonder what is the biggest concern of baby boomers...

Baby boomers are the largest consumer market on this planet. Every eigth seconds a baby boomer turns fifty. There are millions of them! Now that's what we call a market! These are the people to target if you want to keep selling products in the years to come. If you appeal to them, you can simply stay in the same line of business for a decade; it's a never ending pool of customers. Go!BabyBoomers.com is going to hit them... hard. And you can be a part of that.
The best way to sell products is to create a band of trust with your potential customers. They have to believe you before they will spend a dime on you. Newsletters and e-zine thrive on this principle. But do you have time to write them? No. We thought so. That's were our program comes in.
We have created some great information streams that appeal to this broad target audience. Looking good, health, retirements issues to name a few. All you have to do is to promote your personal site that we will create for you and let the customers flow in. Our information streams contain promotions for products that are sold through affiliate programs. And you already guessed it, your subscribers will get the information with your affiliate id, so you make the profit!
We use a MLM mechanism; if you have people in your downline, you will get commission also over their sales! Wow. And it's all for free!
As we are in prelaunch fase now, it's a good time to start building your downline. When we start this summer, you can hit the baby boomers market hard!

I am trying to analyze Martin Luther King's, "I Have A Dream," speech. What did he mean? If this speech was assigned to high school students as a primary document, what would you expect them to find in analyzing it?

I'm trying to find out what the nickname is for the generation of kids in 10th, 11th, & 12th grade today. The were born in 1986, 1987 & 1988. Is it the X Generation? What are their predominant characteristics?
Thanks,

Got the following off a web site--maybe it will help you find other resources. All I did was search Google for toys 1950's
Ź "During World War Two toy companies were actually making supplies for the war. So afterwards they had fascinating ideas for new dolls and games. They started to see wonderful new material, like plastic. In 1948, LionelŹ produced new trains. In 1949,Ź Silly Putty started there were over 30 million Silly Putty eggs sold. In that year Lego was introduced. Matchbox Cars, a favorite to little boys now were invented in 1954. In 1957, Hula Hoops were invented in. They became a fad in 1958 , but it was shortly over in 1959 when Barbie took over. Then in 1960 Etch-a-Sketch was put in stores, a favorite of mine. In 1961 Ken was introduced to the world, Barbie had fallen in love! Slipān Slide was was also introduced. There were some pretty neat toys introduced in the fifties.Ź "
Personally I remember the Easy-Bake Oven and lots of board games. Didn't play much with real girlie toys and never never Barbie....although there was a Barbie board game. I believe whoever won got to pick which guy she wanted of four choices. Ewwww.

I am trying to make a list of new technologies that that are helping "baby boomers" handle aging. I don't really want ones aimed at the elderly but at typical boomers.

In the words of Merv Griffen, 80-year-old entrepreneur, RETIREMENT IS DEATH. Thatās why, I wrote Be Happier, Live Longer, DONāT RETIRE. Here I:
š Expose retirement as a social experiment gone horribly wrong.
š Tell you what self-made rich people already know about not retiring.
š Explain how retirement is actually a dead-end street.
š Tell the audience how to fight off the hordes that demand they retire.
š Explain the important thing missing in any late life plan÷and it aināt about money!
š Explain how to whack the competition and can keep a job or get a new and better one in a market ruled by youth.
š Why the law and history can be the aging workerās ace in the hole.
Credentials: A radio personality, a newspaper editor, a publisher, and an author all by 40. Successful entrepreneur, a world-traveling golf editor, author (twice again), and screenwriter by 62. At this age, at this monment, i want to say "happy Thanksgiving day!" to you all. Hope you can still relate to the song "The Rose". In the winter far beneath the bitter snow lies the seed that with the sun's love, in the spring, becomes a rose.

I recommend adding a link to boomspeak.com. The site is devoted to the "voices" of baby boomers and their slogan is Your whole life's in front of you.

I have devoted the second half of my career as a photographer to photographing my favorite demographic...my people "the boomers", it would be great to interlink sites with some of you folks to spread the buzz.

I will be purchasing my grandparents home (built in 1920) on the main street of our small town located south of Pittsburgh. They lived in the home from 1948 until the last family member passed away this October at the age of 89. Since the house still looks very much the same as it did when they moved in -- I plan to restore it and make it an authentic "Nostalgic" step back in time to the 1940's, 50's, 60's & 70's placing nostalgic candy on the pillows and welcoming guests upon their arrival with something in the oven guaranteed to stir up the smells, sights, and sounds of an era long gone by. What are your thoughts?? It will be a 2 bedroom with full shared bath, and a powder room and shower/toilet in basement that would sleep 6 guests, useage of the whole house which includes a 50's gameroom/bar in the basement. A "Thanks for the Memories" smaller bedroom will be a room that artifacts, and memorabilia from the family and local community preserving the culture and history of the Southwester Pennsylvania Steel towns will be recognized. As well as 5 military uniforms of my father and his 4 brothers who all served in the military, all coming home safely with an intersting heart warming story of the family dog -- that will give you goosebumps!! I hope to open in the fall of 2008. I'd appreciate any comments. Thank you. "La Dolce Vita on Broad" will be the name of the guesthouse.
